Well, what's on my mind?
Let’s just say, of late, my brain is a jumble.  The words are there along with the thoughts..just not in any discernible order.  So here are my random thoughts for the week: Whats up in Pop Culture? Twitter kinda lost a bit of its glow in the last few weeks as a few celebrities decided to quitting using the service.  Its funny that the media used more than 140 characters to talk...

PatBlogahan.com: Train-ing wheels? →
This is a great idea.  I would run with the team at a preplanned event.  There are lots of 5K to marathons that are scheduled 6 to 12 months in advance.  Would be neat to meet and run for a cause then go to a Train concert that evening or afternoon. patmonahan: Ok I have an idea but I need you guys to love it and or help me figure it out. I want to create an event that I will love, you will...

So Whats New?
I have been busy with my personal offline projects to be able to say anything of substance.  However, some really good concerts are about to go do as this summer wraps up.  I am already planning to catch Eric Benet, Lizz Wright and Incognito in October alone. Which makes me think, what is the big project in your life right now? For me its Project Hair.  I have decided to make...

Train Wine Club: Wine Bar Wednesday! →
The City Winery in NYC is a Train Wine Club member’s urban dream come true - the perfect pairing of wine and music in a stylish downtown environment. Diners can enjoy a glass or bottle of wine from its 24-page wine menu while enjoying live music performed on an intimate stage. City Winery has… I absolutely love that Train is as into wine as I am.  Thanks guys!

New Music (Well New To Me)
I have always loved British musicians.  Not sure why there was such an attraction.  Back before iPods and iTunes, you had to actually go to a store that specialized in imports.  That was the only way to get music from groups from other countries.  Times have changed.  Now we can get introductions to new music via internet radio stations, downloads on iTunes and similar websites like YouTube and...

Oops Did I Do That?
Today I had my first Urkel moment in a while.  Yeah, THAT guy! I am trying to learn advanced Twittering.  Kinda like building a blog - there’s more to it than you think.  Anywho, I big upped a brand of wine I like because ‘Ye (@kanyewest) tweeted that he was drinking some mid-priced Zinfandel wine.  Being the person in the know that I am *insert eye-roll* I tweeted back that, if he...

Who's On Your Travel Anywhere to See Live...
I was having a conversation with a friend of mine about the groups or artist you would be willing to go ANYWHERE to see.  Meaning, for whatever reason, you were willing to travel to see their act.  My list is pretty small.  What about your list?   Here is my current, hands down, I would travel to see you live list: 1.  Jamiroquai - They aren’t that big in the US for whatever reason, so it...

one forty plus: Hit →
Listening to Train play “Hey Soul Sister” from backstage. What a massive hit. Yea, it’s on the radio pretty constantly, but a hit song is all about the way the crowd reacts to it. There’s nothing like the reward of making the air swirl around thousands of people with one of your songs. Better than… This is the reason why the John Mayer/Train ticket is going to be worth the price of...

Well, It Started Out Awesome...
As you know, I was sooo excited for this weekend.  In retrospect, my hair predicted it.  You know a bad hair day has to mean something.  Right?  Anyway… Saturday Night It was hot as heck even at 9:00 PM.  We stood outside waiting to enter Joe’s Pub with a modest line of guests.  The humidity was thick and made the wait seem longer.  As we inched towards the door, Michael Ealy (Hallie...

Bad Hair Day
So as my countdown towards my concert heavy weekend progresses, I went to get my hair ‘did’.  Ugh.  Best laid plans, right?  Let’s just say, my pockets are lighter in a way I could have avoid.  I MUST WEAR A HAT!  Shoulda just bought the hat first and left it at that. Funny how bad hair affects your entire outlook.

Excitement in the Air and Music to My Ears
This weekend has the potential for greatness.   Saturday Night  First up on Saturday night, I get to go see a jazz artist by the name of Bob Baldwin and the New Urban Lounge.  I have been checking out his music for a while now.  Its a great mix of contemporary jazz, funk and world music.  Imagine my excitement when I found out that he will be appearing at Joe’s Pub in the NYC this...
